Claus Eckhartt, Bardehle Pagenberg

Claus Eckhartt, attorney-at-law, is a partner in Bardehle Pagenberg’s Munich office and heads the firm’s trademark department. His practice focuses on prosecution and enforcement of IP rights in the fields of trademark, design, copyright and unfair competition law. Related advice includes anti-counterfeiting, licensing, merchandising, franchising issues and transactional support.

He is responsible for the management and prosecution of worldwide trademark and design portfolios. His international clients are leaders in their respective industry and come from the pharmaceutical, consumer healthcare, household goods, IT, hotel services, banking and food and beverages sectors.

Recent major litigation in which Mr Eckhartt was involved includes a high-profile trademark infringement case concerning bottle shapes. He was also lead counsel in a series of comparative advertising cases of restaurant chains involving litigation between the major competitors in this field.

Christine Fluhme, Bardehle Pagenberg

Christine Fluhme, attorney-at-law, is a counsel in Bardehle Pagenberg’s Munich office. Her practice focuses on registration, enforcement and protection of trademarks, as well as advice and litigation in unfair competition, design and copyright matters.

As a member of a team of attorneys-at-law Christine Fluhme represents German and international clients, inter alia, a leading restaurant service chain as well as clients from the beverages, health care, pharmaceuticals and household cleaning goods sectors.

Since joining Bardehle Pagenberg in 2006, Christine Fluhme advised, among others, one of the largest manufacturers of beverages in a case of parallel imports, with ensuing litigation in Germany and Denmark. Furthermore, she was involved in a series of trademark and product piracy cases and related procedures concerning the beverages and fashion industries and handled invalidation proceedings before the EUIPO with regard to a colour mark of a large producer of energy drinks, to name just a few highlights of her work.
