Eric Pogue is a partner in the Washington, DC office of Hunton & Williams LLP. Eric is co-chair of the Renewable Energy and Clean Power practice and chair of the Sustainability and Corporate Clean Power initiative.
Primary focus and experience
As a transactional lawyer with over 17 years of experience in the energy sector, Eric focuses his practice on the development, financing and acquisition of energy and infrastructure assets utilising a variety of complex transaction structures, including tax equity. Over the past five years, Eric’s practice has focused almost exclusively on renewable energy projects where he frequently acts as lead partner representing major US financial institutions, including JPMorgan, Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley in their investment in and financing of large-scale wind and solar projects.

Eric has been recognised as a leading project finance lawyer in renewable and alternative energy by a number of legal journals and industry publications including: Chambers USA (recognised for Projects: Renewables and Alternative Energy), Washington DC Super Lawyers (listed as a “Rising Star” for Business/Corporate, and Energy & Natural Resources), IFLR1000 (identified as a “Rising Star” for Energy: United States) and Law360 Forty Under Forty (recognised as “Up and Coming”).
